The Munich AI Lectures series, a joint initiative of MDSI, CAS, ELLIS Munich, and MCML, invites top-level AI researchers to give presentations and participate in Q&A sessions to showcase insights and ideas in the field. The next speaker in the series is Peter Flach, Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bristol. Peter Flach is an internationally leading scholar in the evaluation and improvement of machine learning models using ROC analysis and calibration, he has also published on mining highly structured data, and has an interest in human-centred AI. He is author of Simply Logical: Intelligent Reasoning by Example (John Wiley, 1994) and Machine Learning: the Art and Science of Algorithms that Make Sense of Data (Cambridge University Press, 2012).
The lecture will be held virtually on 8 February 2023 at 17:00 CET and will be streamed live on YouTube with recordings available afterwards. The lecture will last about one hour and more details will be announced soon on the website.
