In an exciting collaboration, the ELLIS Delft unit recently journeyed to ELLIS Munich, marking a dynamic exchange of ideas and expertise.


On January 25th, researchers from TU Delft, all members of ELLIS Delft, converged in Munich for a day filled with illuminating discussions and connections. Over lunch, they engaged with ELLIS director Daniel Cremers, delving into the intricacies of computer vision and experiencing a captivating demonstration of DVMIO technology.

Later, the evening unfolded with a vibrant networking dinner in downtown Munich, hosted by ELLIS Munich and the Consulate General of the Netherlands. Attendees, including members from both units, were treated to enlightening presentations spotlighting the innovative research and activities of each unit. Notably, the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Munich played a pivotal role in orchestrating this exchange, co-sponsoring the event and facilitating the Delft team's visit. Furthermore, insights into Munich's burgeoning AI ecosystem were shared by the Bavarian AI agency, offering a glimpse into the 'baiosphere.'

The evening culminated in a stimulating dialogue on foundational AI models and future directions in the field, followed by convivial networking opportunities accompanied by Bavarian delicacies, fostering lasting connections and collaborations.
