Munich AI Lectures Series - Alexei A. Efros

Join us for the "Munich AI Lecture" with Prof. Dr. Alexei A. Efros on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 6.30 p.m. in the Plenarsaal of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Munich.

 

His lecture, titled “We are (still?) not giving data enough credit,” will be followed by a reception from 8-9 p.m.

Prof. Efros, a leading AI researcher from UC Berkeley, has an illustrious career with previous positions at Carnegie Mellon University, École Normale Supérieure/INRIA, and the University of Oxford. His work focuses on computer vision and graphics, using data-driven techniques to address challenges with unlabeled visual data. His accolades include the ACM Prize in Computing and several PAMI Test-of-Time Prizes.

The Munich AI Lectures, coordinated by the Bavarian AI Agency, are a collaborative effort by baiosphere, BAdW, Helmholtz Munich, LMU, TUM, AI-HUB@LMU, ELLIS Chapter Munich, relAI, MCML, MDSI at TUM, and MIRMI. This initiative brings esteemed AI researchers to Munich.
