The ELLIS Unit Munich has been successfully extended following the ELLIS reapplication process for Units that have been active for five years. This continuation confirms Munich’s ongoing role within the ELLIS network and its contribution to excellent AI research in Europe.

As part of the ELLIS network, the Unit contributes to a broader European research community committed to advancing AI excellence, fostering collaboration, and supporting the next generation of researchers. The extension marks the beginning of a new five-year cycle and continued engagement in the network’s scientific and collaborative activities.
